Additionally, the organization honors partners who have made a significant impact on the community. The event includes a reception, silent auction and dinner in addition to the awards ceremony.

Under Secretary for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment Robert D. Hormats addressed both the challenges and the opportunities for cooperation in three key areas each of which have been focal points of discussion and which have been mentioned by previous speakers: (1) internet governance, (2) internet freedom, and (3) the growing attention being devoted to the increasingly serious problem of cyber incidents, theft of trade secrets and intellectual property rights violations.
The U.S.-China Administrator Shadowing Project (ASP) is an exchange program for Chinese and American school administrators, superintendents, and principals. In the fall, Chinese school leaders visit American partner schools and American school leaders repay the visit in the spring. This two-way “shadowing” program both brings Chinese educators to local school communities in the U.S. and also sends American educational leaders to China, yielding maximum, mutually transformational effect.

The China-United States Exchange Foundation, together with Beijing Foreign Studies University and Hangzhou Wanxiang Polytechnic, successfully hosted “The Emerging Leaders: US-China Study Delegation” between August 3rd and August 16th. The student delegation’s two-week visit was sponsored by the Chinese Ministry of Education and organized by the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation.

The China-United States Exchange Foundation partnered with the Harvard University Ash Center for Democratic Governance and the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) to organize a group of Harvard students to visit China.

To better understand the future trajectory of China’s energy needs, the National Committee hosted a public event, China Energy 2020, on September 11, 2014. The forum explored how China - the world's biggest energy producer and consumer, and largest generator of greenhouse gas emissions - can reach its economic, environmental and energy goals.

The fourth annual U.S.-China Film Summit expanded to a full-day, 6-panel discussion conference with a keynote luncheon (luncheon included in summit registration). The 2013 U.S.-China Film Summit focused on how Chinese and Hollywood film industry leaders navigated the East-West filmmaking process, and addressed the trends and dynamics in the U.S.-China film relationship, including recent success stories.

The Film Summit and Gala Dinner brought together prominent American and Chinese film-industry representatives who are interested in partnerships, distribution, financing, creative development, policy, and cultural issues relevant to the Hollywood-China relationship.
