2013 U.S.-China Film Summit and Gala Dinner

The fourth annual U.S.-China Film Summit expanded to a full-day, 6-panel discussion conference with a keynote luncheon (luncheon included in summit registration). The 2013 U.S.-China Film Summit focused on how Chinese and Hollywood film industry leaders navigated the East-West filmmaking process, and addressed the trends and dynamics in the U.S.-China film relationship, including recent success stories.
Outcomes: 
During the full day summit, prominent Chinese and Hollywood industry leaders participated in six distinct panels: Year in Review, Societal and Cultural Impact of Hollywood/China Collaboration, Media’s Perspective on the US-China Film Relationship, the Digital Space, Shooting Your Film in China, and Envisioning a Collaborative Future. Greg Foster, Chairman & President, IMAX Entertainment and provided the luncheon keynote. A special award presentation later took place with Zhang Xun, President, China Film Co-Production who received the 2013 Co-Production Leadership Award. The Awards Dinner featured keynote addresses from Senator Christopher Dodd, Chairman and CEO, Motion Picture Association of America who received the Asia Pacific Visionary Award and actress LI Bingbing who received the East-West Talent Award. The Gala Dinner was hosted by Kelly Cha, TV/Radio Host, Singer-Songwriter, Author and Educator. There was also be a special musical performance by Kelly Cha.
