The Chinese Champions Program – a unique partnership with Beijing Sport University (BSU), the China Scholarship Council and UW–Madison – brings Chinese Olympic and world champion medalists to UW-Madison as students in a non-degree sports leadership seminar. The champions are high-profile athletes enrolled in a post-graduate program at BSU designed to help them make the transition to new roles within China’s sports infrastructure.

Building on California's growing relationship with China, Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today joined China's top climate official, National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) Vice Chairman Xie Zhenhua, to sign a first-of-its-kind agreement on climate change between the NDRC and a subnational entity. The NDRC oversees China’s efforts to address climate change and much of the government’s economic strategy.
For seven months, the Chinese teachers lived with host families in such places as Pullman, Wash., and performed tasks ranging from teaching language, culture and history classes to advising student-activity clubs and helping monitor the halls.

Six U.S. airports are participating in an environmental partnership with China. The U.S. airports will share experiences with Chinese counterparts on issues such as aircraft and vehicle emissions, terminal and airfield energy conservation, green construction projects, waste management and water quality. The FAA will provide policy guidance.
