The show is produced by the team behind the 2008 Beijing Olympics opening and closing ceremonies.

The six sports professionals from Montana will embark on a three-week diplomatic exchange in China.The team will participate in both professional and cultural activities during their exchange. They will work with ethnic-minority school children and with associations supporting youth with disabilities, sharing ways that sport can enhance leadership, communication and teamwork skills in youth development, while promoting technical proficiency among the youth sport coaches, sport administrators and sport officials.

A delegation of Chinese Vascular Surgeons visited Des Moines, Iowa for a three-day workshop. The Iowa Clinic Vascular Surgeons conducted the three-day workshop including hands-on technical training by using a computer-based simulator called the Angio Mentor.
