Air Force Command Chief Master Sgt. James A. Roy led the first NCO delegation consisted of 12 senior NCOs to the People’s Republic of China. They visited soldiers and officers in Nanjing and Wuhan, observed physical training, toured dormitories and dining facility. During an interview, Roy said, "he was struck by the difference in philosophy between U.S. and Chinese NCOs".

A delegation led by Dr. Andrew G. Hashimoto, Dean of College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resource (CTAHR), University of Hawaii visited South China Botanical Garden (SCBG), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). The CTAHR delegation visited the big conservatory, some special gardens of SCBG and they were engaged in discussion with scientists from SCBG. They also visited the Dinghushan National Nature Reserve located in Zhaoqing City.

Fourteen Florida educators participated in the 2010 Winter Chinese Bridge Delegation led by the University of South Florida Confucius Institute. Supported by Hanban / Confucius Institute Headquarters in China, the delegation visited historical and cultural sites, one elementary school and two secondary schools, watched student performances, and had a discussion with USF CI director on ways to improve existing Chinese programs.
A delegation of Chinese hardwood buyers visited Preston, Randolph and Upshur counties in West Virginia to meet with potential suppliers to discuss a variety of business opportunities. The delegation toured two hardwood facilities, heard a presentation on the hardwood industry in the state and met individually with participating West Virginia companies.
