Chinese President Xi Jinping met with visiting US Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel in Beijing. Xi expressed his hopes that the new model of military to military relations, envisioned by him and his counterpart Barack Obama, will continue to develop. Hagel called for practical cooperation between China and the US, and greater personnel interaction and clarified policies about the US’s pivot toward the Asia Pacific region, and developing the new model of military to military relations.

Tesla will build solar-powered charging stations in Beijing and Shanghai this year and will add more charging stations across the country in the coming years, Musk said during his first public appearance in China. Elon Musk suggested that the charging and service networks will start in big cities where demand for electric cars is greater.

A tour group of 7000 Chinese landed in Los Angeles on May 27th, 2014 which breaks record in US trip. Reports said that the group members are mostly employees of Guangdong Perfect marketing group,for the company’s annual business meeting was held in Los Angeles. People took the 70 flights arriving in batches,and checked in 30 hotels in Los Angeles.

U.S. President Barack Obama and Chinese President Xi Jinping met on the sidelines of the Nuclear Security Summit in The Hague, Netherlands. In his remarks, Obama said that the U.S. and China “have made incredible strides over these past several decades.” However, Obama also noted “frictions that exist in our relations,” notably around the issues of human rights and the maritime disputes in the East and South China Sea.
