To commemorate Indiana’s 25 year sister state/province relationship with Zhejiang Province, a team of delegates comprised of government officials, business and agricultural leaders visited the area. Another sister agreement was also reached between Indiana and the city of Haining.

Governor Rick Snyder, from the state of Michigan, led a trade mission to China, including cities of Shanghai, Hangzhou, Guiyang, Wuhan and Chengdu. The delegation would be meeting with Chinese business leader and government officials to discuss opportunities in expanding makets access for Michigan exports.

US high school students participated in the first Northern California delegation of the China-U.S. Study Exchange Foundation (CUSEF) – Think China 2013. The group traveled to Beijing and Shanghai where they toured universities and met with civic and global business leaders.
