Gov. Jerry Brown unveiled a new trade and investment office in Shanghai, the state’s first foreign trade bureau since 2008. The California-China Office of Trade and Investment works with other California trade and economic development groups to identify California businesses interested in expanding into Chinese markets, as well as generate Chinese leads for these regional business organizations. Dedicated experts located in China and California provide concierge services to businesses throughout California and China to forge cross-border trade and investment deals.

Florida Secretary of Commerce and CEO of Enterprise Florida Gray Swoope traveled to China to open business development offices in Hong Kong and Shanghai in 2014. The offices will focus on attracting foreign direct investment to Florida, trade relations and increase Florida seaport activity. The sites are the second and third location in Asia to host an official Enterprise Florida presence.
