Forum for American/Chinese Exchange at Stanford (FACES) Annual Conference 2013-2014

After a yearlong hiatus, Forum for American/Chinese Exchange at Stanford (FACES) resumed its two-session Annual Conference at Stanford in November 2013 and in Peking University in April 2014. The 43 delegates who attended the conferences were from American and Chinese universities. The first event at Stanford University featured a host of distinguished speakers who addressed the delegates on issues including human rights and U.S.-China economic cooperation. The China Session of the 2013-2014 Annual Conference was held at Peking and Renmin universities on April 13-19, 2014. During the week-long event, delegates participated in lectures, panels, a city tour, and a mixer with FACES alumni in the Beijing Area. FACES invited renowned scholars to address the delegates on topics such as China’s maritime disputes, economic development, and business cooperation with the United States. Delegates also heard from the leading business figures in China’s IT industry.
