Volunteer Abroad with United Planet

United Planet volunteers live and work in Changsha, the capital and largest city in the Hunan province, with a population of more than 7 million. Those in the program help teach English to local Chinese students at an elementary school or middle school in Changsha.
Outcomes:
The China Summer Teaching Quest offers an opportunity for volunteers to work together to teach English and environmental studies to roughly 150 rural Chinese students in China’s Hunan province. During their free time, volunteers may travel around the area, visiting the Kaifu Temple and interacting with locals, as they gain a greater understanding of China.
