US, China hold second meeting on advancing space cooperation

Representatives from US and Chinese government agencies held the second US-China Civil Space Dialogue in Washington, D.C. on October 20, 2016 to advance collaboration on space activities, the US Department of State said in a press release. The State Department and China National Space Administration co-hosted the October 20 meeting, which was also attended by officials from the Defense Department, NASA and other US government agencies, according to the release.
Outcomes: 
US and Chinese officials exchanged information on science, weather, spaceflight safety and the long-term sustainability of outer space activities. The next meeting was scheduled to be held in China in 2017.
