Study Chinese Art and Education with FIU

Study abroad all through China. Florida International University presents the opportunity to study Chinese art and education from ancient to modern times. It is designed for students who wish to learn about China and, in return, incorporate these new learning experiences into the established curriculum. The course begins with three seminars on campus prior to leaving on a guided study tour of china, followed by on-site lectures and art workshops while in China, and concludes with a seminar and presentations upon returning home.
Outcomes: 
Students will visit Beijing, Xian, Shanghai, Guilin, Yangshuo, Guangzhou, Kowloon, and Hong Kong. Program activities include visits to see the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, and the Terra Cotta Warriors; learning to sketch along the famous Li river; trying Chinese brushwork with a master; and attending operas and cultural shows.
