The Shandong (Confucius Origin) Culture and Trade Expo was held in San Mateo. Shandong province sent a delegation of more than 30 small and medium-sized companies to the Bay Area to promote the cultural products and services, as well as test the waters in the US market of the culture industry.
Outcomes: 
The composition of the delegation was well-rounded and comprehensive. Exhibitors covered a wide spectrum of cultural dimensions, including publishing, calligraphy, sculpture, textiles and dyeing, animation, TV and film.
