The Oklahoma Institute for Teaching East Asia's Principal Shadowing Project

The purpose of the project is to build partnerships between school administrators in Oklahoma and China which promote mutual understanding and create opportunities for professional development. The China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) cooperates with OKITEA, and China Exchange Initiative to administer the program.
Outcomes: 
With twenty-one Oklahoma and twenty-one Chinese principals partnered, the following programs resulted: 9 new Chinese language programs 14 student exchange agreements 4 teacher exchange agreements 2 English summer camps Innovative ideas and programs for teaching Chinese language & culture
