North Carolina Summit on US/China Education

The 5th Biennial North Carolina Summit on United States/China Education was held on September 1, 2016 at the Friday Institute for Educational Innovation at NC State University. The 2016 Summit focused on NC & China: Connecting, Collaborating and Creating for the Future. Topics that were addressed included preparing students for 21st century life and work, accelerating second language learning (Chinese and English), and providing continuous education for educators.
Outcomes: 
The summit allowed leading education experts from both the U.S. and China to discuss the importance of education in the 21st century. US partnerships with Chinese educators and students also provide opportunities to share educational best practices as both countries strive to provide students with the necessary skills, knowledge, and dispositions for success in a rapidly changing world.
