Mr. Jin Xu Met with US Delegation

Mr. Jin Xu, Deputy Director-General of Department of American and Oceanian Affairs, Ministry of Commerce of PRC, met with visiting US government officials and USCEA leaders in Park Plaza Hotel in Beijing. Ronald Bew, SBA Former Associate Deputy Administrator and Director of Richmond District, VA, Daisy W. Lynum, Vice Chair, International Council of NLC and Dr. George Wang, President of USCEA attended the meeting. On behalf of Department of American and Oceanian Affairs of Chinese Ministry of Commerce, Jin Xu welcomed the delegation, and remarked that China's small and medium enterprises (SMEs) have been growing rapidly over the past 29 years since the reform and opening up. Up to now, there have been more than 42 million SMEs which take up 99.8% of all China's enterprises. China's SMEs played a very important part in Sino-US trade.
Outcomes: 
US SMEs could find more business opportunities in China after China's entry into WTO, Mr. Jin Xu said. He hoped that the Department of American and Oceanian Affairs, together with US government agencies will help create a better environment for cooperation of US-China SMEs.
