Indiana University President McRobbie visiting Shanghai as part of 15-day East Asia trip

Indiana University President Michael McRobbie visited Shanghai, China as one element of IU's international engagement plan. This is the McRobbie's third official visit to China as IU president. During this trip, he aims to "strengthen institutional ties, increase research opportunities and provide greater access to study abroad for IU students."
Outcomes: 
In Shanghai, President McRobbie bestowed the Thomas Hart Benton medal upon Chinese jurist Tongkui Ju. The medal is given to individuals "who have achieved a level of distinction in public office or service and have exemplified the values of Indiana University." Furthermore, Indiana University's prestigious Kelley School of Business formed a partnership with Zhejiang University in Hangzhou for student summer exchange programs. Likewise, the Kelley School at Indianapolis partnered wit Sun Yat-Sen University for an undergraduate dual degree program. As a result, students from each school may complete clinical electives at their partner school in opposite countries.
