Festival brings China closer to US

For the 16th Chinese Culture Festival this year, called "Splendid Sichuan," the China Overseas Exchanges Association offered performances and presentations geared towards exposing Americans to the cultures of different Chinese provinces and autonomous regions.
Outcomes:
"Through this event, the American people can better understand Chinese culture, in particular, Sichuan culture, whose roots not only include the Han culture but also Tibetan traditions and the culture of the Yi ethnic minority," said Zhang Yechu, a representative from the Sichuan provincial government. Passersby indeed expressed amazement and hopes to further study and understand Chinese culture.
