Exchange program brings China to Heritage Hall students

Heritage Hall hosted about 15 students from Chongqing 29th Secondary School in Chongqing, a city of about 28 million in southwest China. The students took part in Heritage Hall classes and saw the sights of Oklahoma City, including what was a much anticipated trip to the city’s outlet mall. Heritage Hall is home to a Confucius Classroom taught by Jessie Maeer. Confucius Classrooms are local institutions, based in U.S. schools, which stimulate and support innovative teaching and learning of Chinese language and culture. There are about 70 such classrooms in the United States. The visits are reciprocated each May.
