Cultivating Global Entrepreneurship in Creative Industries 2015 with Louisiana State University

Working with students from the Beijing Institute of Fashion and Technology, students will design and implement a project using Louisiana produced alligator skins. Anticipated field trips include: the Forbidden City, the Heavenly Temple, the Summer Palace, the Great Wall, and the Pearl Tower. While in China, the two main projects for the course will be (1) to design and implement a design project in conjunction with students from the Beijing Institute for Fashion and Technology using Louisiana produced alligator skins and (2) individual trip journals. After returning to Baton Rouge, the students will meet with the Program Director for reports, discussions, and presentations of projects.
Outcomes: 
By working together with students from China, participants will understand the role that culture plays in the global fashion supply/value chain management.
