Chinese troops to visit US Army base for medical drills

Amid growing security tensions between the U.S. and China, a week-long exercise is being held for U.S. soldiers and soldiers from China's People Liberation Army at the Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington State. It will be the first time that ground-level Chinese soldiers visit an Army Base in the continental U.S. for a military-to-military exercise.
Outcomes:
The U.S. and Chinese soldiers will engage in practice preparations for natural disasters and focus on how to help civilians during a severe earthquake. The military exercise promotes stability among the U.S. and China given the growing tensions in their security relationship.
