Chinese Teachers learn about Autism in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

In March 2015, four elementary school teachers came from Beijing to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to learn about how teachers integrate autistic students into the regular classroom and how to customize curriculum for special needs students. The teachers are training at Duquesne University and have observed classes in the Pittsburgh Public Schools system.
Outcomes:
The teachers' visit is part of a recently formed partnership between the Beijing Autism Association and the South East Asia Prayer Center in Oakmont. The 10-year agreement focuses on training families and teachers to address the needs of children with autism.
