Chinese delegation visits Quincy to study waste management

A group of Chinese officials toured Quincy facilities to study how American cities handle recyclables and about steps they take to protect the environment.

“Certainly they want to learn from us, and we certainly want to have a better understanding of how they handle things,” Quincy Mayor, Thomas Koch said. “As they continue to grow, they’re going to be looking for new ways of managing their trash and recycling efforts. We certainly want to share our experience with them.”
