China, US pledge to enhance people-to-people exchanges

The two countries held the fourth annual Consultation on People-to-People Exchange (CPE) in Washington, which was co-chaired by Chinese Vice Premier Liu Yandong and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry. Liu told the meeting that remarkable progress has been made since the CPE mechanism was launched in 2010.
Outcomes: 
China and the United States have agreed to enhance people-to-people exchanges in areas of education, science, culture, sports, women and youth affairs.
