China-US economic cooperation goes local

Chinese and US governors met at the second annual China-US Governors Forum. They discussed Chinese investment in and trade with the United States, as well increased cooperation between US states and Chinese provinces. Trade between the two countries in 2012 was nearly $487 billion.
Outcomes: 
Chinese leaders urged that the US removes barriers for investments by Chinese state-owned enterprises.
