CAPA Beijing with Oswego State University of New York

The Intensive Chinese Language and Culture Program, which offers students an in-depth exploration of China through academically challenging curriculum and experiential learning. Students will have the opportunity to begin learning Mandarin Chinese, or to advance their existing Mandarin language skills. The academic program has courses taught in English examining Chinese history, art, culture, economics, religion and philosophy and explores the role of China as an emerging global city. The Areas Studies: Contemporary China program offers students an in-depth exploration of China through an academically challenging curriculum and experiential learning. The academic program has courses taught in English examining Chinese history, art, culture, economics, religion and philosophy and explores the role of China as an emerging global city. Students will also take an introduction to Chinese Language course.
Outcomes: 
For both programs, participants have the opportunity to engage with Beijing and its people through our Learning Through Internships experience. Internships in a host of disciplines are open to students at all levels of language ability. Students may take courses in Chinese language at all levels, art, art history, literature, business, and more.
