Ameson Year in China (AYC) is a unique opportunity for college graduates to become Educational Ambassadors by spending a year teaching, learning, and making a difference at public schools across China. Participants experience the challenges and distinct rewards of being immersed in one of the world’s fastest developing economic and cultural landscapes. Program Highlights: -5000 RMB (~$800) a month -7500 RMB (~$1,200) Travel Allowance -Full Legal Status (Chinese Work Visa & Residence Permit) -TEFL training and certification (free 120-hour course) -Health insurance -Chinese language lessons -Cultural activities arranged by host schools -Housing (conveniently located) -Airport pickup and ongoing support
Outcomes: 
The participants have made profound impacts in their local communities, reaching many thousands of students while acting as educational and cultural ambassadors.

The majority of participants have been recent college graduates (1-2 years out of college.) Qualifications: -Native English speaker (with US, UK, or Canadian Passport) -Bachelor’s degree, or higher (all majors welcome) -Must be able to pass criminal background check -Must be adaptive and culturally sensitive -Positive attitude toward educational exchange

In three years, there have had approximately 350 Educational Ambassadors take part in AYC.
