Ambassador Baucus Launches the New Beijing American Center

United States Ambassador to China, Max Baucus, officially opened the new Beijing American Center at a formal ribbon cutting ceremony at the U.S. Embassy. The new Center is the home of cultural activities, library resources and a source for information about exchange opportunities between China and the United States.
Outcomes: 
The Center, sponsored by the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy, is a one-stop source of up-to-date information about all aspects of the United States, its people, and its policies. The American Center maintains a robust book and electronic media collection, with more than 4,000 book titles and 500 CD/DVDs available, including resources specifically for English language teaching and learning. It also provides educational advising about U.S. higher education opportunities.
