The 2nd China-US Governors Forum Kicks off in Beijing

Six US state and territory governors and eight Chinese provincial governors convened for the second US-China Governors Forum. This year's forum focused on local economic development and job creation as the main themes of the event. The China-US Governors Forum was established by a US-China Memorandum of Understanding signed during President Hu Jintao's visit to Washington in January 2011.
Outcomes: 
The China-US Governors Forum aims to strengthen a sub-national dialogue between the two countries.
