Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton and a group of 50 Minnesota business, agricultural and academic leaders departed for China on a 10-day trade mission that will include stops in Shanghai, Beijing and Xian.

Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton was joined by representatives from two biomedical companies, 3M and Medtronic, on the trade mission trip to China. 3M has had a rubber and adhesives branch in China since 1984—3M China Ltd.—which has its headquarters located in Shanghai. Medtronic also has a presence in China, hosting two patient care centers in the cities of Beijing and Wuhan.

Minnesota and Sister Province Shaanxi celebrated their 30th Anniversary in 2012. Governor Dayton’s delegation traveled to the Province of Shaanxi, home of the famous terra cotta warriors, to meet with Shaanxi Province officials.
