The conference was founded to build common ground and reduce misunderstandings by bringing university students from the U.S. and China together. This year, 40 selected student delegates — 20 from Chinese universities, 20 from the U.S. — gathered to discuss U.S.-China issues from foreign policy to cultural differences. Lectures such as Fukuyama’s make up a major part of the conference, for they seek to deepen participants’ engagement with the complex political and historical issues at play within the U.S.-China relationship.

The “Eighth US-China Conference on Arms Control, Disarmament, and Nonproliferation” was held on April 11-12, 2016, in Monterey, California. This track-one-and-a-half conference was the eighth in a series of bilateral conferences bringing together government officials and nongovernmental experts from the United States and China.

The 2016 U.S.-China Aviation Summit will be hosted by U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) on June 19-21 in Washington, D.C.. The U.S.-China Aviation Cooperation Program (ACP) is pleased to partner with USTDA, the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration, the Transportation Security Administration, and the U.S. Departments of Transportation, Commerce, and Homeland Security on this important event.

The China US Clean Air Conference was held from July 24-25, 2015 in Beijing and hosted a number of speakers who were leaders in the energy industry. The impetus for the conference stemmed from Beijing's mission to focus on serious air pollution issues affecting the city. Speakers on the roster included former U.S. Vice-President Al Gore and Deping Hu, President of China Biodiversity Conservation.

Duke Kunshan University is a Sino-American partnership of Duke University and Wuhan University to create a world-class liberal arts and research university offering a range of academic programs for students from China and throughout the world. A non-profit, joint-venture institution, Duke Kunshan University was granted accreditation approval by China’s Ministry of Education in September 2013 and welcomed its inaugural class of students in August 2014.

The Office of the Chief Counsel for International Commerce hosted the third Administrative Licensing Dialogue in the Commerce Research Library. The Dialogue is held with China’s Ministry of Commerce under the Commercial Law Working Group of the Joint Commission on Commerce and Trade (JCCT).

Washington University Students for International Collaboration on the Environment (WUSICE) will host the first U.S.-China Undergraduate Conference on Climate Change and Sustainability Thursday through Tuesday, Nov. 4-9, on the Danforth Campus. The conference, which will address issues of energy, food production, climate change, environmental justice and more, is free and open to the public. Eleven undergraduate students representing Fudan University in Shanghai, China, will attend the conference at the invitation of Washington University.

The Cira Center in Philadelphia once again hosted the 2nd annual US-China Pharma Conference in May 9-10, 2012. This year, the main themes are “Outsourcing Drug Discovery in China” and “Beyond R&D: Partnership and Licensing Tactics”. The conference, offered by Cypin Production, attracted over a hundred senior level delegates from pharmaceutical companies, CROs, venture capital firms and law firms.

The China-US Universities Astronomy Collaboration Summit, with the theme “Our Universe, a World without Boundaries." This Summit is one of the series of educational exchange activities of the Seventh Conference of China-US High-Level Consultation on the People-to-People Exchange (CPE), which will be attended by Chinese Vice Premier Liu Yandong and US Secretary of State John Kerry on June 7, 2016. Invitations will be extended to top universities in China and the leading universities in the US with world-class astronomy programs.

The Institute of Molecular Engineering will be the host of this year's US-China Forum - only the second iteration of the Forum - after having previously taken place in May of 2015, when the inaugural event was co-hosted by the Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago (EPIC) and the Paulson Institute.
