Study Abroad at Southwest University with Louisiana State University

Learn Chinese in the cultural and economic hub of Chongqing, one of China's five national central cities and home to ancient temples, rock carvings, and even an underwater museum. Take classes in Chinese in a variety of fields of study or deepen your understanding of Chinese language, culture, and history with a selection of classes taught in English. Connect with the campus and your peers -- there are more than 50 extra-curricular clubs to join! -- and forge friendships with locals through Southwest University's Language Partner Program, which matches each incoming international student with a local student.
Outcomes:
Students able to take classes taught in Chinese will have a wide variety of academic fields to choose from. For students who need courses taught in English, the Chinese Language and Culture program will offer lessons in Chinese language, literature, culture, history, education, and economics.
