Student Leaders Exchange Program: University of Arkansas

The University of Arkansas used the opportunity provided through the USCET Student Leaders Exchange Program to expand opportunities for student participation in a number of existing partnership programs in 2011. University of Arkansas used USCET grant funds to provide $2,000 scholarships to 14 students studying in China in Summer and Fall 2011. Participants took part in the University of Arkansas direct enrollment program at Sichuan University in Chengdu, as well as in partner programs at Peking University and the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, Shanghai University and East China Normal University in Shanghai, and the Southwest University for Nationalities in Chengdu.
Outcomes: 
The students used all of their experiences in China as great learning opportunities, and carried their interest in and enthusiasm about China back to their alma mater.
