Sister city deal topic at meeting

To commemorate Indiana’s 25 year sister state/province relationship with Zhejiang Province, a team of delegates comprised of government officials, business and agricultural leaders visited the area. Another sister agreement was also reached between Indiana and the city of Haining.
Outcomes:
“Having a sister city relationship is very important to our interactions with China,” said State Sen. Randy Headsaid in a news release issued by his senate office. “This connection can help us better understand each other’s needs and any opportunities for mutual economic expansion and investment. Signing an MOU with Haining is the first step in a multi-step process toward building this relationship and was the best result we could have hoped for on this trip.”
