Enlisted Delegation Visits Chinese Counterparts

Air Force Command Chief Master Sgt. James A. Roy led the first NCO delegation consisted of 12 senior NCOs to the People’s Republic of China. They visited soldiers and officers in Nanjing and Wuhan, observed physical training, toured dormitories and dining facility. During an interview, Roy said, "he was struck by the difference in philosophy between U.S. and Chinese NCOs".
Outcomes: 
Hoping to build a cordial relationship with the Chinese, Roy expressed an interest to visit the navy and the air force in the future. He also welcomed the Chinese counterparts do the same. Roy hopes exchange like this promotes transparency.
