China Tourism Delegation Meets with U.S. Trade in Chicago

Shao Qiwei, chairman of the China National Tourism Administration, led a 50- person Chinese delegation to meet with American travel industry representatives at the 7th Annual China-U.S. Tourism Leadership Summit in Chicago . They discussed emerging hotel trends in China and the U.S, alleviating poverty in rural China through promoting tourism and niche markets such as gold travel, educaitonal travel, etc.
Outcomes: 
Two parties agreed to strenthen cooperation between the Chinese and American travel industreis. They also planned to encourage personnel exchanges and industrial cooperation at the local governments and exterprises level.
