Barnett-Oksenberg Lecture on Sino-American Relations

President Jimmy Carter delivered the keynote address at the 2014 Barnett-Oksenberg Lecture on Sino-American Relations to an audience in Shanghai. Former Shanghai Mayor Xu Kuangdi was the commentator and Zhou Mingwei, Director, China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration and Honorary President, Shanghai Association of American Studies, served as moderator.
Outcomes: 
The annual forum afforded its guests the opportunity for a frank and forthright discussion of current and potential issues between the two countries; it is the first and only ongoing lecture series on U.S.-China relations to take place on the Mainland.
